You've made the decision to sell your home! So, now what?! In addition to selecting the best real estate agent to represent you, you may also want to think about staging your home. Your agent might recommend a professional stager or even include staging services as part of their marketing plan. Either way, home staging has become an increasingly important factor in helping people sell their homes more quickly and for more money. Here are a few compelling reasons for why a seller should say "yes" to staging:
Home stagers lend a fresh set of eyes to a house and its belongings, without the emotional attachment. They use their design skills to accentuate the best features of your home - whether through re-arranging existing furniture to optimize your floor plan, de-cluttering key areas, helping with paint color selection, or even bringing in furniture and decor to make your home appeal to most buyers.
Remember that buyers will decide whether or not they like your home within the first few minutes after entering - and you only have one chance to make a first impression! Don't be the seller who skimped on staging, especially if competition is fierce and there are other similar homes listed for sale in your area. The cost of staging will ALWAYS be less than the cost of your first price reduction.
